Description

The double flute dvojnica, a twin-bore monoxyle flute, crafted from a single block of wood. The holes are drilled and burnt on the front side and arranged 5:4. The ornament on the front side is geometrical.

Note

The most famous centre in the north-west part of Croatia where wooden flutes were crafted were Bistrički and Stubički Laz. The instruments crafted there were primarily intended as souvenirs and they were sold at fairs. They were often played by shepherds.
